Weltstars am Bodensee

Das wird ein Pfingstfest: Vom 19. bis 24. Mai 2010 findet in Langenargen am Bodensee das 13. Match Race Germany statt, das zur Welttour der Match Racer gehört. Und nach den America's Cup-Wettfahrten haben auch die Superstars wieder frei. Grössen wie der neuseeländische Matchrace-Weltmeister Adam Minoprio, Titelverteidiger und Olympiasieger Ben Ainslie, der dreimalige Weltmeister Peter Gilmour und der Matchrace-Viceweltmeister Torvar Mirsky werden erwartet.
Erstmals kommt eine Damenmannschaft: Die Berliner Steuerfrau Kathrin Kadelbach hat sich mit ihrem überraschenden Sieg bei der Deutschen Matchrace Meisterschaft eine von zwei Wildcards für die hochkarätige Serie erkämpft. Alle weiteren Infos unter www.matchrace.de.

10 years Alinghi

Alinghi will celebrate its ten year anniversary in September 2010 and while the Swiss team lost the America’s Cup on Valentine’s Day, it has two extraordinary wins to its count and remains proud of its achievements and what they represent.

Alinghi is the culmination of Ernesto Bertarelli's passion for sailing and since the team’s inception in 2000, its people have been its strength – the sailors, the designers and the shore crew and those that back them up in the weather team, the media and marketing departments, administration and finance.

In 2003 Alinghi was the first European team to win the America’s Cup in its 158 year history and it went on to render the most successful Cup event of all time in 2007, including three years of pre-regattas.
